In 1950, with the beginning of the "age of plastics", FIAB started the production of machinery for the plastics industry. In nearly 70 years, from a local Swedish company, FIAB has become a world market leader in the production of high-frequency welding machines. In 2010, the Swedish FIAB HF AB was purchased by Polish capital and transferred from Sweden to Poland. Until 2021, the company had its headquarters in Pietrzykowice near Wrocław.
